Delete your Banana Walk account
You can delete your account and the data stored with it at any time, in the app or by email.
In the app
- Open Banana Walk and go to the You tab.
- Open Account, then tap Delete account.
- Sign in again when the app asks. If anything can't be removed (for example, with no connection), nothing is deleted and the app asks you to try again.
Without the app
Email info@enmotionstudio.com from the email address on your account and ask for the account to be deleted. It's done within 30 days.
What is deleted
- Your sign-in account (user id, email and name), the cloud copy of your game save with your step history, your total step count and your push tokens.
- Your username, profile and player card, your friendships, the people you blocked, and gifts you sent or were sent that are still unopened.
- Your reward records, grants made to you, and the server's own records about your account.
- Your steps on every leaderboard, the leaderboards you made, and your place in their results, including the private ids used for you on public leaderboards.
What is kept, and for how long
- A leaderboard you made that others still need (a pledge others paid into, a team walk, or a public leaderboard) stays without your steps or your name until it's deleted with everyone's steps: private leaderboards and team walks 30 days after they end, public ones three days after.
- Reports you made, or that were made about you, are kept for one year so we can act on them.
- Our log of grants keeps what was given and when, with your account id, username and our note removed.
- Anonymous usage totals and crash reports aren't linked to your account; crash reports are deleted after 90 days.
Only on your phone
Playing without an account? Your progress lives only on your phone. Deleting the app removes it from the phone, though a backup of your phone may still hold a copy until that backup is replaced. Deleting the app or signing out doesn't delete your account; its copy waits for you to sign in again until you delete the account as above.
