Age rating and what's inside

Why 12+

• Random unlocks. Coins you earn by walking unlock bananas at random, like a capsule machine. The odds for every tier are always shown in the app. Coins are never sold, and nothing random can be bought with real money.
• Leaderboards and friendly contests. Players can compare steps with friends and join step challenges. Some challenges let players put in game coins and win more; no real money is ever involved.
• Usernames and friends. Players choose a username and can add friends, send gifts of game items and name private leaderboards. There is no chat and no free-text messaging.
• Health and fitness. The app counts steps and sets a daily walking goal. It isn't a medical device and gives no medical advice.

What's not in the app

• No ads, and no tracking for advertising.
• No violence, mature themes, profanity or gambling with money.
• No GPS or location; steps come from the phone's motion sensor and Apple Health or Health Connect.
• No coins for sale. Optional purchases, when they arrive, are cosmetic only and never random.

Keeping players safe

• Filtered names. Usernames and leaderboard names are checked against a list of offensive words.
• Block and report. Any player can block or report a username from a leaderboard or the friends list, and we review every report.
• Turn off social features. In the app, You → Settings, switch off Friends and leaderboards to play alone.
• Play without an account. Without signing in, nothing leaves the phone except anonymous usage counts, which can also be switched off.
• Delete everything. An account and its data can be deleted in the app at any time (how).

For parents

On iPhone, Screen Time (Settings → Screen Time → Content & Privacy Restrictions) can limit app ratings and require approval for purchases. On Android, Google Play's parental controls and Family Link do the same.
